Your Support Matters!

Help Maninplace change the lives of people who are homeless in Telford and Wrekin by pledging your support.

WASS

The Maninplace Wrap Around Support Service (WASS) is a project offering short-term outreach support to people who are homeless and being discharged or released from services such as: Redwoods Hospital, Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, Princess Royal Hospital, and prison. The support service is also for individuals who are at risk of losing their accommodation, because of ill mental health issues, and people within Telford and Wrekin who sit below the Social Care Act.

WASS Outreach workers will liaise with those referred to the service at drop-in sessions held across Telford, or via other agreed appointment methods, after a referral is made to the service.

Through engagement with WASS outreach support, we aim to reduce the likelihood of readmission to hospital and an escalation of more acute health related matters, particularly those associated with ill mental health which can be exacerbated by homelessness or rough sleeping.
